Catherine Irura is a persuasive and diversely skilled executive leader with 10 years’ experience managing a broad spectrum of legal and compliance affairs related to project development and environmental and social governance. She serves as the Managing Director of SOWITEC Kenya Limited and brings 7 years’ experience as a project manager and a legal practitioner working in renewable energy project development and compliance in Kenya, Zambia and Zimbabwe. Catherine has strong academic credentials with a MSc. Environmental Governance (University of Freiburg, Germany), a Bachelor of Laws (LLB) from the University of Nairobi, and a Post-Graduate Diploma from the Kenya School of Law. Catherine has previously served ESAK as a legal practitioner by overseeing filings at the Registrar of Societies, as well as participating in review of ESAK’s Constitution and drafting the Code of Conduct. Catherine led the legal groundwork that contributed to the registration of ESAK.
